Week 2 base picks points: 94
2017 Season total base pick points: 179
Welcome to Week 3 everyone! Week 2 showed a lot of favorites winning in the top half of the table, with the only exception being the hapless Cincinnati Bungles. The Miami pick was the only money pick that hit this week, and that was only a yellow pick. You probably didn’t do too well this week if you stuck with our picks, but you can’t call a Jacksonville upset every week!
Congrats to @XZX and @Wally Wolfpack for tying for first place in our member only CPP League! (Become a member)

Some things to consider now we’re a couple weeks in:
If you’re going for the weekly win,  play “what if.” If you went with a money pick, and it didn’t hit, what if it did hit? Would it have put you in the money? If not, you’re not making a big enough money pick. Also play the “what if” game with potential upset picks. What if I had picked Houston all in (since Houston was the pick that hit)? Would I have been in the money? If yes, great now you know you’re one pick away. If you need a whole bunch of stuff to happen to win, you’re not taking enough risk on your money picks.
If you’re going for the season win, and you’re down in the standings, it’s not time to panic yet. It’s early. Get a feel for your league. Are the winners sticking with mostly base picks or are they making a lot of upset picks? If they’re making a lot of upset picks, they’re probably not going to stay in the lead for long. It’s still early in the season, I would stick with your current strategy a bit longer. If you’re out of it, you can start making some fun gambles (double money picks, for example) to see if you can boost your way to the top.
With that, on to the Week 2 report!
Here are the base picks for this week:

Here are the “Money Picks,” or picks that you can take a shot at to get into the money. See here for more details. These teams are neglected by the public but have a decent chance of winning. (This is only a partial table. The full picks are emailed to Premium members. If you’re interested in becoming a Premium member,  click here.)
It seems some people are having issues with getting the picks via email, so I’m going to go ahead and open it up for this week.
If you have paid for the premium subscription, but aren’t getting the emails, please try these two things:

  1. Check the email you used for your Paypal payment. Many people have separate emails for Paypal and their regular accounts. A confirmation email will be sent to the Paypal email, not the one you already have on the list. You can then change the email address with the confirmation email.
  2. Check your spam folder. Sometimes an overzealous spambot will get it.

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience! Will look for a better system for next year I promise.
