7 years ago, my dad asked me to join his NFL office pool where you not only pick the winning team each week, you pick the confidence points for each game. As an analytics lover, I immediately set out to figure out a better way to make picks instead of “gut feel”. I posted these picks on my blog, and ConfidencePoolPicks.com was born!

Being someone who enjoys analyzing data, I saw this as a chance to move beyond mere guessing.

As time passed, Confidence Pool Picks continually evolved to find more effective ways of analyzing possibilities for making informed picks. What initially was a simple attempt to make my confidence pool experience better turned into a platform for sports fans seeking a more calculated approach to making picks.

Looking back, I have to say that my dad played a really important part. His invitation was like the spark that started my journey of learning and coming up with new ideas. Without his encouragement, I might never have gotten into confidence pools and used data to make predictions.
